'Republican Establishment': Is it real, or is it memory? Another internal GOP dispute (Daily Kos)
In an election year, and though it's not 2012 yet, the current one started in
August when Barack Obama switched to campaign mode, nothing is quite so
heartening as to see the opposing party in disarray. Disarray is certainly
what's going on in the Grand Old Party.
That doesn't mean it's on the eve of destruction. But after 13 presidential
candidate debates in what ought to become a permanent reality TV series,
Republicans have seen five of their number become front runners in the polls
and then fade. Most likely voters are just not all that attached to any of
them. A new ABC/_Washington Post_ poll shows that 64 percent say there's a
chance they'll change their minds about who they say today they'd vote for.
The poll didn't ask how many have already changed their minds, or how many
times, but it must consist of ample numbers.
According to the right-wing mouthpiece _The Daily Caller_, Republicans are
even arguing over whether such a thing as a Republican "establishment" exists.
